Opened its First Chapet at Hawassa University
The Ethiopian Economic Association opened its first
chapter at Hawaasa University on May 12, 2007. During the occasion,
Inaugural Panel Discussion on Micro Finance Institutions, Micro and
Small Enterprises Development in the SNNPR was held. You can read

The Ethiopian Economic Association
has moved its physical location from Jan-Meda to its new premise on
Red Sea Construction Building. The building is located around Lancha
- Beklo Bet, at the back of Ireland Embassy. EEA also has changed its
telephone lines and fax number.

The Ethiopian Economic Association (EEA) is a non-profit
organization with the main objective on the development of Ethiopia.
In going through the web site, you will find to get to know some of
the efforts the EEA is making on the advancement of the Ethiopian economy.
The main objectives of the EEA are:
- to contribute to the economic advancement of Ethiopia;
- to promote the professional interest of its members;
- to promote the study of economics in the country's
educational institutions;
- to promote economic research and assist in the dissemination
of the findings of such research in Ethiopia;
- to provide fora for the discussion of economic issues,

- to promote professional contacts between Ethiopian
