Rent Office, Cinema, Gymnasium, Conference hall ...

Ethiopian Economics Association would like rent out excess office spaces and other facilities in its Multi-purpose four story building (G+4) with a basement that consists of the following: • Conference Hall that can house about 500 people including a projector room for showing movies, • 9 rooms that can serve as caucus rooms during conferences (could be used for office purpose), • 30 private offices, • Library, • Student lounge, • Resource Center and Computer Lab (could be used for offices) • Gymnasium in the basement, • 9 shops in the ground floor (could be used for office), • Multipurpose Hall that could seat 1000 people comfortably, • Cafeteria and Coffee shop for students and faculty. Invitation - Second Annual Conference on the Amahara Regional State Economic Development

If you are at Bahir Dar on August 14, 2010, you are cordially invited to attend the Second Annual Conference on the Amhara National Regional State (ANRS) Economic Development. If you are also interested to attend by your own cost, you are welcomed. See the full letter below. The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) and its Bahir Dar Chapter that is housed at Bahir Dar University have co-organized the Second Annual Conference on the Amhara Regional State Economic Development at Bahir Dar. The one day Annual Conference will be held on 14th August, 2010 at Amhara Regional State Bureau of Finance and Economic Development Conference Hall starting from 8:30 a.m. The First Annual Conference on the ANRS Economic Development was successfully held on the 15th August, 2009 here in Bahir Dar at the Amhara Regional State Bureau of Finance and Economic Development Conference Hall. The conference attracted about 120 participants drawn from Regional Bureaus, Universities, NGOs, private sector representative and EEA members in the region. In the one day conference 8 papers were presented and discussion was held. The proceeding of the conference was published and is under dissemination in the region and in other parts of the country. Like the First Annual Conference, the Second Annual Conference on ANRS Economic Development is believed to create an opportunity for better understanding of the region's socioeconomic development. In this conference, about 8 papers that focused on the regional economic issues will be presented by individual researchers. Moreover, we except institutions from the region will present papers on specific thematic areas (Poverty, Structural Transformation and Rural Development). Therefore, EEA Bahir Dar Chapter and the Secretariat of the Association invite you to attend this important event on August 14, 2010 at the Bureau of Finance and Economic Development Conference Hall.
